Sunderland AFC Sporting Director Florent Ghisolfi has said that this summer’s transfer strategy is to concentrate on top-quality signings in key positions rather than the huge quantity we saw last summer.
Their approach won’t be influenced by the club qualifying for the Europa League. Ghisolfi said: “This summer we try to find stability. Of course we need to increase the quality again, but I want to say it will be lower volume and more precision. The most important thing is the quality and the mentality of the team because they will have to be ready to face these challenges.”
It is certainly going to be a very different transfer window this year compared to last summer, But it is going to be very interesting watching to see the type of players that are targeted and in what positions. A very exciting summer transfer window lies ahead.
